Any idea where i can get hold of an LCD display that i can use as a bomb counter? It needs to be about 2" high and need to be able to count backwards from 5 seconds down to 1 or 0 (Clocks count up, and not often in seconds). Any help?

not sure where you can get one of these gimmicks....
but if your going to edit on computer...
then why not do some special effects in Premiere? - basically all you're doing is displaying a Digit on screen for a second, so you change it while your editing...
also that will give you more control if you decided to have your movie playback in realtime....
because most bomb-countdowns are out-of-sync with the real-time... where the bomb goes off in 10secs, but it takes the hero 5mins to defuse it!
just grab an LCD-like font, wack on the effect, and Bob's your uncle!

Maplin or RS components is a good bet Both have websites (http://www.maplin.co.uk and http://rswww.com). You'll probably have build it yourself but you may well find a kit/project with all the right stuff already i it.

Thanks for all your advice. I ordered a nifty little timer from Maplin (cheers MrSatan!) for just ?2.99, should work nicely. keep an eye out for it in the new short from ReelRaine Productions called 'Counteraction'. Hopefully out in a few months.
